Kelly,

Don't know what to tell ya, except maybe this. You may have debated at several levels above the mentality of the author.

That's where us simple folks come into play. Ya see, sometimes when you deal with simple folks, ya gotta get a little more primitive.

Perhaps he's a little intimidated about debating his position in public. Perhaps he likes to blow steam at 'perceived' defenseless people. Perhaps he's another 'preacher' versus 'practicer'.

Perhaps he's sharp enough to understand all the nasty things I just said in the previous paragraph and BRING his debate into the public eye.

Sorry... I don't mean to inflame anyone. ('cept the one.)

As to your response and the purpose of it... spot on.

Kelly,
What a wonderfully written response. There is nothing I can add that would enhance it. I would only say that Sonny, and those who adhere to his philosophy will have to talk God out of enforcing His own Word if they want to live as he described. These verses pretty much detail His thoughts about such philosophies and lifestyles.

Rom. 3:5 But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6 Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7 Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” 8 Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved.
The Holy Bible : New International Version. 1996, c1984 (electronic ed.) (Ro 3:5-8). Grand Rapids: Zondervan.

Rom 8:5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind of sinful mane is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
The Holy Bible : New International Version. 1996, c1984 (electronic ed.) (Ro 8:5-8). Grand Rapids: Zondervan.

God accepts all sinners and cleanses them of their sins through Jesus' blood, but that does not mean He will allow them to remain in those sins.

Thanks for the great blog.

Kelly,
I remember all your posts during the election. I found them challenging and to the point. Some people don't do well with "to the point" they interpret it as rude or whatnot...I, however, am not one of those people.

It's interesting how I come upon people who do not follow Jesus and they say the main reason why is because we're "judgemental." Unless I read your post wrong, it seems Sonny is telling you to be judgmental?

I have athiest friends, non believers, what have you, but never have any of them felt judged by my being a Jesus follower. Even when I share with them what I believe, which is in direct conflict with what they believe. IT's called LOVE.

Jesus is about LOVE. Jesus followers are to LOVE EVERYONE. They can disagree with choices of those whom they love, but they continue to love AND pray.

Just a thought...I'm a former counselor....so I am pulling from some of my education when I say this. In my experience, when I was practicing, my clients were MOST ANGRY with me and reactive to things I've said that REALLY HIT HOME with them. Something they know is true; however, don't want to hear it.

Bless you, Kelly....keep up all the hard work. Consider yourself lucky to be "attacked" because you're doing something right, right???

Hi Kelly,
Tuesday, I was scared and worried. Wedsnesday, I was in shock, scared, and worried.
But we did right. We voted against Obama and his far left policies. I'm proud of Arkansas, my home state for staying in the red and I'm proud of California for banning gay marriage.
Weds. night, a new member at our church said something profound: The same God is still in control of our country. I knew that, but it really hit me to hear someone else say it.

Well, here we are, the morning after and already a threat from Russia has been made.

However I still believe in the fact that a lot of prayer went up to heaven and we are here for another day and fight.

I think that God is still in control and that President Bush did a very graceful speech this morning. I believe with all my heart that he was a great President. History will point that out later. My gosh, he had his hands full.

I still love McCain and Palin. I am looking forward to seeing them continue in politics.

On a last note, we all need to handle this period in History gracefully and...prayerfully.

I am struggling not to be dis-heartened as Colorado reports that they don't believe in a life starting with conception and are for abortion. This isn't the same state I grew up in so many years ago. Sob!

On the other hand, at least the citizens of San Francisco voted down the law making prostitution legal on their streets.
That too, is another beautiful city that I remember before all the marriage and gay rights took over and that mayor.... well I won't go into it.
I shiver now when I go there. I remember once when I was at at meeting there that some consider it the modern day Babylon and that God will destroy it. That wasn't my idea, just heard it, doesn't mean that I believe it.

The main thing is that we are living History and I hope to be 106 someday and be able to vote. I pray that we will still have voting privileges.

All in all, I plan to submit to God's will for this gracefully and support my country's leaders as their position requires, I will respect the office.

Kelly, if you have ideas or thoughts on how to rally others for the future, count me in! :)

Hope this somehow encourages all who read this little note.

God Bless each of you and God Bless America.

Hugs your way,
Paulette Harris

Hey Gang,

A friend's wife sent this to me. She works in a library, and had a moment to speak to a girl about the election. Another 10-yr-old:

Girl: My mom and sister are gonna vote for Obama.
Friend: Oh, yeah?
Girl: Yup--and we get to vote tomorrow at school and I'm gonna vote for Obama. Who are you voting for?

Friend: Well, let me give you a hint. My son is in the Air Force.
Girl: You must be voting for McCain.
Friend: Yup.
Girl: Why? Obama's better.
Friend: One issue. Abortion. I don't believe in it.
Girl: Who cares about abortion? What about insurance?

My friend's wife sat stunned. What a mentality, 'I don't care what you do as long as you give me something.'

I'm in the Kennedy camp. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

Well, ya can't blame the kid. Sigh.

Well, Kelly, this one was the best of the best. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series, but taking it from the mouths of babes (well, slightly post babe) makes it ever so clear how simple this should be. But we live in a world of deceit and delusion. I, like the others, have a gut wrenching foreboding. But also, like the others, I know that God is in control, and no authority can exist, except He allows it. So having done what we can, we re-affirm our trust in Him. Thanks for your work.

Yes, I knew about is lack of ability to gain a security clearance.

It makes it a little scary to know that he could have the authority to launch a strategic/tactical/preemptive nuclear strike too.

If he joined the Navy, he'd be eligible to be a... ummm... cook.

So, get this. Some guy e-mails me that I have the biggest ego of any agent he's ever seen (okay, so he's close to the mark on that one), then he says I'm sick, and it's easy to see how kids grow up to be "racist monsters."

Imagine, my little sweetpea, a racist monster! I told the guy never once have I mentioned Mr. Obama's race, nor the color of his skin, but since he brought it up, I wrote being 1/2 black isn't a qualification for the highest office in the land.

Some of you may know this, but Mr. Obama is NOT elligible to be an FBI Agent, in the CIA, or even a staffer in the NSA, because of his ties to Ayers, among others. Yet, he can run for president. Is something wrong with this picture?

Anyway, I ended my note to my racist friend, "This election, the choice is so obvious, even a caveman could figure it out. Oh, sorry. I guess you can't..."

Anyway, I ended my note to my racist friend, “This election, the choice is so obvious, even a caveman could figure it out. Oh, sorry. I guess you can’t…”

"When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul."
Psalm 94:19

Come Wed. mornin', God'll still be on the throne. Take heart. We did all we could. We are good and faithful servants. This place may be shot to hell, but I know where we're goin'. And thank God, I won't haveta blog there!

Walk says: At the same time, God is in charge and even though I fear, I keep thinking of the many times in His Word that He tells us to “Fear Not”.

Amen, Walk.

I'm voting tomorrow, McCain ALL the WAY!!!! But I'll be praying all day long that those out there, like you and Night Owl, follow your lead.

I'm scared, but trust the good Lord will provide if the wrong one is elected. I rest in Jesus all the way.

We can move mountains with prayer, so turn it on everyone!

I am like Night Owl, I have never voted a straight ticket, but this year is different. I have the same fear of run-away left loons changing our country and the change won't be for the good.

At the same time, God is in charge and even though I fear, I keep thinking of the many times in His Word that He tells us to "Fear Not". So, I'm trying to leave it at His feet even though I pick it up at times to rant with my co-workers.

Thanks Kelly for all the talking points here, too bad there are so many that are blind to the truth.

When I voted last week it was the 14th time I've cast a vote for President of the United States of America. I'm an Independent and until this election I have never before voted a straight ticket. But this time was different--I voted Republican all the way.

I have in those previous elections not always voted for the candidate that won, but NEVER have I feared the election of the other candidate. Today I am consumed by gut-wrenching fear. And sorrow. If the House and Senate go totally Democratic with Barak Omama leading the way we are going to see damage to this Republic like we've never seen before.

Who would have dreamed that half the population could be so blind?

Seems like a no-brainer to me, or I guess the people voting for Obama have no brains? Sorry.

Now, tell me this...how can anyone still vote for Obama after reading this? I mean, seriously....

I've always known I'm voting McCain, it's never been negotiable; however, after reading this, and all the previous entries, it's just become more concrete than ever.

As I read today's post, I felt as if it was my DAD running for office. The sense of security, saftey, respect, wisdom, great morals, faith......I could go on, but you get my drift.

Well, Tom, your lady seems a bit -- ruffled. It's so easy to blame President Bush for everything. He couldn't have forseen paying for a war, and yes, it was important. We've been safe since then, so apparently, caves are keepin' old Osama hard to terrorize from.

Now, Ayers, I can't be sure about. He operates in the open, and his pal might be in charge of our Armed Forces, and this "private security force" he wants that needs to be as well-trained and equipped as our Armed Forces.

I've listened to hours of tape of Obama speaking. Isn't anyone else listening? Even if what Obama says about tax cuts is true and he gives everyone a measle tax break, is X dollars a fair price for your liberty?

My liberty has no price.

Dad-gum, and gosh-darnit...

Would you please post something that I can argue with? This ain't no fun! Aargh!

However, I've done as you wished and tried to encourage enlightenment amongst our people.

I recently sent you an email that you kindly posted under your 'Abortion' blog. I also posted that letter on a writing site that I've frequented for three years. Ummm... the responses/reviews ranged from absolutely supportive, to ranting hysterics. I'm going to paste one response here. (The rating she gave my editorial was ummm... low. **grins**) The name of the site and psuedo of the respondent has been eliminated. I'll also post my response to the review. SEE BELOW

Sure. It's all the fault of the "liberals." And you say those youngsters in SC are out of touch?
Republicans have controlled the presidency and the Congress for 20 of the last 28 years. They have promoted tax cuts for the rich even as our debt soared from $1 trillion (at the start of Reagan's presidency) to $10 trillion plus (at the end of GW Bush's term). They also lied about the need for war in Iraq and took their eye off Afghanistan/Pakistan, where al Qaeda and the Taliban actually reside. They have also been peddling the snake oil of "deregulation" for the past few decades, which allowed greedheads on Wall St. to bring our economy to the precipice of disaster.
And while you seem obsessed with Clinton's failure to arrest Osama Bin Laden before 9/11, you neglect to mention that Bush neglected to capture him when he was trapped in Tora Bora by the CIA - AFTER 9/11!!!
In addition,McCain is tempermentally erratic, senile and continuously shows bad judgement (the Palin pick is obvious). Obama is intelligent, wise and calm.
Rather than blame liberals, isn't it time you awoke to the alarms going off thanks to Republican mismanagement yourself?

Response Comments: Hiya XXXXXXXX, First... I loved your spirited response. Good for you and I MEAN IT! I'm not uninformed and I truly believe in facts. I'm not here to debate, elaborate, or campaign. This letter is about urging people to seek the facts versus fiction/words. The biggest issue I have with Obama is simply the word 'change'. It's a keyword that is chosen by his staff to ignite an age-group into voting for him. (18-29). If you've studied the demographics... that age group will vote for a change of atmosphere everytime, simply because it's different and not neccesarily better. My letter wasn't directed toward a political sect, or the character of the candidates. It was directed toward the voters and their NEED to be INFORMED. It was based on actual conversation that took place among FRIENDS and NOT political adversaries. I'll say this to you, XXXXXXXX, "If I've offended you and/or threatened your cause, then you should go out among the people of our country and talk to them. Share your thoughts and encourage them to enjoy their freedoms of speech/opinion that my family has shed its blood defending. My blood lies on a street in a foreign country... it gives you the right to FEEL the way you feel. Express your feelings. Write your feelings. Inform yourself. Then... vote--based on the fact, not fiction. Don't be angry with me, dear. Be angry with the circumstances that are forced upon you. Luvs ya... Tom

Thanks for taking the time to read the blog. It takes hours to write and compile, but for my country, no amount of time is too much.

Please tell your friends. The more who read, the more word spreads. The fat lady ain't singin' yet.

Good Morning Everyone,

I have interesting thoughts all over in my emails this morning.
All I can say is ditto to pgadams remark and that is good work and that you will hear from the Lord, "Well done my child."

I am holding everyone up by the armpits in prayer.

Please pray hard fellow Prayer Warriors for God's will to be in this decision. No matter who wins, I pray for the Peace that passes understanding for all of us.

Hugs in Jesus,

Well, after reading this I sat here and said to myself, "What can you say that Kelly hasn't said". The truth, this plain, needs no further comment. So I will just say thanks for the work you put in to provide all this. I join my prayers with yours that God will intervene in the election and our nation's destiny.

Here’s a li’l secret for ya…

I want a woman Vice president and I’ve significant reasons/beliefs for that want.

I firmly believe (based on life’s experience) that behind every good man—stands a woman.

Yeah, that’s a cliché, but have you considered its’ origin? Perhaps the phrase has merit? A religious history of several denominations will tell a story of Adam and Eve.

Yes, you can throw the ‘forbidden fruit’ argument at me, but who would better understand the difference between right and wrong? The person who witnessed the act, or the person who experienced the act of wrongdoing?

When it comes to the decision makers… give me an experienced person—man, or woman. (I know the hand that created them both.)

I had a thought…

For all those people (regardless of their age/race/religion) who are undecided about their voting plans, or simply too lazy to go out and vote.

How about we take that $120 BILLION dollars in bailout money and divide/send it to every voting age person in the nation and let them spend it as they please.

Perhaps they’ll spend that money on companies/businesses they’ve grown to trust.

Perhaps it will bring the small business people to the top—where they belong. (Hopefully, they won’t forget from whence they came.)

Perhaps it will SHOW the ignorant politicians where the hearts of the people truly lie.

Vote with your hard-earned dollar.

Remember, it’s just a thought…

I don’t have a lot to say here. Kelly has said it all, and said it well. Sometimes things are so troubled and the spirit world so heavy that words are hard to formulate. That is the way things are for me right now. I don’t believe Bush economics are responsible for the current economic situation. I believe his economics are superior to Marx economics. But even if not, before God I have to vote conscience, not economy. And my conscience will vote for a patriot with declared Christian principles before it will vote for someone whose every important stance is in violation of God’s principles.
Regarding military stance, I have a son currently in Army Ranger training. I hate the thought of Obama being his Commander.
So, socialism, weak military and lack of Godly principles eliminates one of the two candidates for me. I have already voted for the remaining candidate.
Thanks Kelly for all the time and effort you put into filling in the details for us.

Kelly,

Since I am new to your community, I want to read through some of your posts before I write any deep comments.

However, I can help you out on the formatting issues you are having using "Word".

Next time you write a post, copy it from 'word', then open "notepad" on your desktop (if you do not see it in your start menu, it can be found in 'accessories' under 'all programs'. Paste your article in the now open window of 'notepad', then copy it from 'notepad' into your blog and that will take out all the crap that Microsoft.

You may still have a few small spacing or line break issues, but very few.

Never Give Up,

I know what you mean Night Owl. I am completely drained at attempting to explain the agenda of this man. I just found out who my mom voted for. Now I can honestly say she is starting to deal with Alzheimers. She is the one who taught me reasoning and I fear for her now. I can't believe it after all the conversations we have had. I think now that these people are spiritually blind and somehow they have been hypnotized. My mother isn't really a lazy person but she does depend on the news media a lot, she also expects a lot from the leaders because she is older and on a set income. She is buying into a lie of promises from this man and I am crying my heart out.

I can't understand why Bush is getting such bad hits. He stumbled into this office with such terrible circumstances and not many Dems to back him. How can people not see this??? :(

By the way, I think I will write O'Reily. Has anyone remembered that just before President Bush sent troops to Iraq, that Hussein was quickly sending all his weapons over the Syrian border. The news on all channels was showing that every day. I kept saying to Jim, "Look at that! Why doesn't President Bush jump now?" Of course, unfortunately, he sent the troops in after the fact, but hey! The people are free and happy to be there now. And despite other beliefs, they wanted to be. Same for Afghanistan. I have missionary friends there who are committed to loving those people and they love them to pieces back.

Isn't that part of the Agenda of the United States to support people who have no freedoms and hope? Saddam killed thousands of his own people.
He was truly evil.

I said twenty-five years ago in San Jose, CA. that we need to have another Boston Tea Party! SERIOUSLY! We need to up rise and take our country back folks.

Enuf!

So sorry I forgot and got on a rant again.

Hugs,
Paulette

I have two friends who are voting for Obama--both writers (go figure!). We have discussed and discussed their reasons and they will not be swayed.

One is voteing for Obama because "We cannot stand another 4 or 8 years of the Bush economic policies." Believe me, I've talked until I'm blue in the face trying to explain that President Bush certainly bears some responsibility but that the roots of the current economic crisis run deep and are buried primarily in the Democratic Party. But I have wasted my breath.

The other one said this: "Don't send me anything more about Obama, please. If he is guilty of any or all of the things you pointed out I don't want to know it as I absolutely cannot vote for McCain."

So Kelly, thanks for the effort but I fear you are preaching, as I have, to the choir.

Patricia,

Would you be willing to stick your neck out and tell me why you are still voting for Obama? I can't understand why. I am not going to berate you or beat you up, but I too am becoming scared and ill knowing what I know about this person. Believe me when I say color has nothing to do with this issue for me. I can't believe that you would still stand by this man when Kelly is putting the facts on the table for all of us. If this were fiction then of course, one would not have to worry about these ideas.

Go to the next steps and read about the Missionaries that have uncovered even more facts.

I don't think that people should blame the McCain camp for pointing out these facts. People all over the world are digging them up and are dismayed at what is coming out.

Thanks for the help Patricia. Thank you Kelly for the work you are doing.

Blessings to all,
Paulette Harris

Dear Night Owl and Kelly,

Very scary indeed. I am passing on this information too. I too wonder why our citizens have embraced this person so much. The only thing I can think of is that most are so spiritually hungry and lazy that they want a leader who can meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. I am amazed at the more educated people who are so busy, they aren't getting the truth. It seems to be them and the very poor who are embracing O.

I am gifted in Prophecy and see a lot of the Word coming to pass. I am not scared but concerned deeply for coming generations. I pray that I have the time to prepare my family even more to endure the coming days.
I don't really think in the negative realms because I know where I am going but it is going to get worse without the intervention of God in the United States.

I don't want to rant, we need to get this out people. We are a great Nation that has fallen asleep and sitting on their laurels.
I have a written a novel about this that I did a lot of research on, without scaring people, there are a ton of things that line up right now for the Mark of the Beast.

Praying for the truth and the courage to spread it now. We have a huge opportunity right now precious ones to share the love of Christ and offer salvation because of the hope in Christ.

Love to all.

Kelly Said: Glad to hear it. I’m spending hours, and don’t feel I’m making any headway. Grrr!

YES, you are, Kelly. Even if it's just ONE person you've done well. As the day nears that we cast our votes, I get more nervous. But then, I remember a few things I've read in the Bible. I don't remember exactly where, but....Who by worry adds a single hour to his life? Seek first HIS kingdom. By prayer and petition, bring all your concerns to the Lord.

No, that doesn't mean just sit back and let things happen...we must still be proactive and do our parts, but keep in mind, God will prevail.

Press on, sister.

Dear Tom,

I'm so grateful to your service to me and our country. You have my thanks.

I, too, dread the thought of Mr. Obama in charge of the military. The only people who will benefit are those who sell white flags....

Hi Night Owl,

Thanks for sharing, and pointing out we don't agree on everything, but do agree about Mr. Obama. Adds credence.

Take care!

The Republican Trust is in need of donations to air the Obama/Rev. Wright association in these last few days before the election. John McCain is too much of a gentleman to do it himself but it needs to be done. Check it out.

Hi Kelly. Wow, so many things to hit on, but I must say, first, thank you. The amount of time you put in this is appreciated. What hit me the most was...

"So, I strolled to my local restaurant for lunch...." story. That put it in a different light for me. The word Globalism comes to mind, as does Nicolae Carpathia (you'll find him in the Left Behind series--yes, I know it's a fictional series, but......).

Suave, educated, smooth talking, trying to bring world order..........those are a few more words that come to mind when I think of Obama.

God help us.

Kelly,

I’ve only a little time and this is a passionate topic, so I’ll have to keep it brief. My top concern with the upcoming election is the simple idea of Obama being the Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful (albeit stretched) military in the world.
Mr. McCain has visited the troops that are currently deployed on numerous occasions. He understands military tactics, strategy, and their mission. He knows when to listen to the on-scene commander and utilizes the information to formulate a plan of action back in the senate that will support their efforts. (He didn’t hesitate to announce his disagreement with Bush’s strategy at the time.)
Obama never visited the troops until after his nomination and deep into his campaign. His assessments and recommendations are campaign driven and completely lack the first hand knowledge and compassion of an experienced leader.
I served in the military under Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Mr. I-didn’t-inhale-Clinton. The first thing Mr. Reagan did for the military was a 14% pay increase that brought us up to the poverty level in annual wages.
The first thing Mr. Clinton did for the military was to delete/veto the military pay increase and later enact the infamous ‘Don’t ask, Don’t tell’ policy.
I won’t revisit my previous post of the Bin Laden fiasco, but suffice to say, “He sucked as a Commander-in-Chief” and Obama seems cut from the same mold.

We do not agree on all issues but we strongly agree on this one. I am an independent voter with many elections behind me. Never, and I mean NEVER have I been so discouraged about an election. Obama scares me spitless!

What I do not understand is why such a large segment of our population is so drawn to a man with so little experience--but I could live with that if I had to. It is his associations over the years that disturb me.

Gov. Palin asked an excellent question the other day: What have these questionable individuals seen in Obama that have drawn them TO him? Common sense seems loud and clear to me that they want something they believe he can provide if he is elected.

I'm copying something that hit my email and maybe I shouldn't since I don't know these missionaries. Does anyone else know who they are, or if this was actually written by missionaries in Kenya? Here it is for what it is worth:

Thought you'd find this interesting. Celeste and Loren Davis are Missionaries in Africa and can shed some firsthand light on one of our Presidential candidates.

Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don't know the last count of the dead. Obama, under 'friends of Obama' gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east Germany ... He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn't win, and possibly cause a race war in America
.
What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 9-11 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July! He is not an American as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the Muslim infiltration into their countries.
By the way, his true name is Barak Hussein Mu hammed Obama. Won't that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran!?

God Bless you.
Pray for us here in Kenya . We are still fighting for our nation to withstand the same kind of assault that every nation, including America , is fighting. Takeover from the outside to fit the new world order. As believers, this means we will be the first targets. Here in Kenya , not one mosque was burned down, but hundreds of churches were burned down, some with people in them, burned alive.
Jesus Christ is our peace, but the new world order of Globalism has infiltrated the church and confused believers into thinking that they can compromise and survive. It won't be so. I will send you a newsletter we sent out in February documenting in a more cohesiv e manner what I've tried to say in a few paragraphs.

Love, Celeste
Celeste and Loren Davis
About our Father's business!
Luke 2:49

Also, are you aware that a Philadelphis attorney has filed a motion in court to force Obama to produce an original copy of his birth certificate and does not believe his is actually an American citizen?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gA6_k3NtXZs

Even if neither the attorney or the missionary letter is factual there are far too many questions about Obama. If most voters actually understood that the financial crisis cannot, in truth, cannot be laid entirely at President Bush's feet (and I didn't vote for him and have not liked him and agree that we should never have gotten into Iraq), we don't need the supposed change that Obama promises badly enough to sell ourselves down the river.

Great job in researching all this information Kelly. Jim and I are more than ever convinced that O would be the wrong candidate. I am horrified with the news media.

I worked with a beautiful Christian woman who was recently divorced a number of years ago. She explained that her journalist husband and his co-workers would get together often in a writing party in which they drank and used drugs, then threw dice as to what type of fictional (political) news they could come up with. I couldn't believe what I heard but the poor woman was so firm about it and she said although she didn't believe in divorce she could no longer live with the lies she saw in print, knowing where they came from.

I see such George Orwell work coming to pass in our society that it is just plain scary.

Oh, I would love to mention that I am 100% behind Sara and her clothing. I think that the highest forms of office in our USA should dress sharply to represent the greatest nation on earth. Why not? It says volumes about us as a country of freedom. Why in the world would you wear frumpy brown clothing depicting boredom and prison? Why would someone want to look like they were too dowdy to represent our government?

Hey! I am a little overweight, but I take pride in myself and my country and put on my best to go before the King. I wrote an article about that for church...they didn't like it, said I was too judgmental. I do embrace and accept everyone that comes through the church doors, but someone who is dressing badly for a fashion statement doesn't represent their King very well. I am referring to shorts, torn Levi jeans, short short skirts and way low cut blouses and sweaters. They are out of place for a woman who is sincerely walking with the Lord. I am not refereeing to a poor sister or brother who has nothing else to wear. I think we better redefine judgment in our language.

Oh my gosh, did I get off track? O and his wife dress nicely. By the way, Mrs. O is not running, but I bet she gets some new outfits if her husband gets elected and it will be me paying for them. Whine, I want a new dress too!
Maybe with my big break in taxes, I can afford one, but....then there is the payment to consider...my taxes on the other hand can't afford it.

You are great Kelly! Do you think you could compile your work into some type of voting book that we can carry with us, you know, just to remind us what we are doing and for whom?? :)

Keep up the good work.

Hugs to all.

I come from a family that is politically diverse, yet maintains a central theme of patriotism and faith in our Lord and country.

Regardless of our political swings toward right or left, we all have common ground in the middle where truth can be found.

Facts and fur can fly in spirited debates between liberals, conservatives and moderates--we all benefit in the end, and never divulge who we voted for. (Until the first major political gaf. Then we point fingers at each other for voting for that person.)

The media has been quoted during many arguments, only to fall when confronted with the 'full' story. (Ahhh... the internet and the resources there.) The liberal POV dominates the press while facts remain in the dusty, musty, confines of cyperspace and the local library. The media focuses on 'selected phrases' (versus full context) and the younger votes. The fact is... young folks just want change but are too lazy to work for it, or go out and vote for it.

Kudos to Orson Scott Card. I hope his article reaches more people. Regardless of their political inclinations.

Thanks for this post. I'm rather surprised at the article. Written by a democrat? It just seems that the media is sooooo swayed toward Obama that Obama gets all the good press and TV time while McCain gets swept under the rug or dissed on TV. There isn't much in the way of fair press coverage, that's for sure. ***oh, unless it's to talk about someone's wardrobe, of course, I mean, come on, that's so pertinent to the race, right?

Not jumping into this fray because I have to choose where I place my finite energies but I do thank you for pointing me to Orson Scott Card. I read a number of his WorldWatch posts and found them to be very interesting, in a less inflammatory way.

Obama's still my candidate.

Kelly, thank you for opening your heart and sharing. This subject is "my thing." I have been a pro-lifer all along and will never, ever vote for a pro-choice presidential candidate. Even if I disagree with the rest of his policies. I believe God holds the life he creates more precious than the economy. We have to do the best we can and vote for the candidate with the right values. God is sovereign. He will see that the one he has ordained will win. Whomever that may be. This was evident with President Bush. The odds were really stacked against him, but he won. Twice! That just had to be the hand of God. I've written an article about this very thing that will go up on my website November 1st.

Anyway, I love ya, Kelly, all the more for putting yourself out there, being honest. I so admire you for that. And as so many others have said here, God has forgiven you, and loves you. I know you say you struggle with forgiving yourself, but maybe it will help to remember that you were created in His own image. If you see HIM when you look at yourself, you couldn't not forgive HIM, could you?

Love,
Debbie

I have said a prayer of freedom for you Kelly. As prayer warriors, Jim and I are lifting you up to Jesus. You are his beloved and he doesn't want you to walk in guilt any longer. I know sounds too simple, I had to deal with some issues about guilt but won't go into it. Suffice to say, all things are possible and he loves his Kelly no matter what. He already knew that she would rebel and be a brat. He made her in His image and loves her just the same as if she hadn't done anything wrong in her life.

We will continue until told differently. We lift everyone up who reads this and have to deal with the horrible guilt that the enemy places upon us.

Bless each reader Father in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Gotta get one thing straight, then I'll put this to rest. I grew up in a church my family built. My grandfather was a Pentecostal minister. I knew what I was doing was wrong from the get-go.

I had a time of rebellion. A long time. A dark time. You might hear more about it if I sell the book, and they want more than my "funny stuff."

I had no excuse, and although y'all mean well, every person on Earth can tell me I'm forgiven, but in my heart, it won't make it so. That's the kind of damage abortion does. My dead children are in heaven and aren't suffering, but until I get there, I will be.

I'm about positive thinking and fightin' your way thru stuff, but this is one hurdle I haven't been able to overcome, and I'm a tough broad. Think about that when y'all vote for Obama, ’cause you'll be decreasing the population of babies, and increasing the population of dysfunctional, guilt-ridden girls and women.

Kelly,
I'm a Canadian and we've been watching your election very closely. My dh is in the Air Force and so we would actively support McCain if we could vote, even if it was just due to his 5 yrs as a POW in Japan. (I believe it was Japan, correct me if I'm wrong.)

Back to your original topic: my best friend in high school went to the States to have a 4 month abortion. SHe's never gotten over it. She went on the marry the father of that child, and they now have four living children. Still, she's never gotten over it. When I was working in corrections and supervising staff I had a 20 yr old staffer who wanted to get an abortion. I tried to talk her out of it (I'm a Christian) but our ultimate supervisor talked her in to it. I felt so helpless as I watched that girl sink in to depression and end up quitting her job with us.

I can't have children and my dh and I adopted a boy and a girl with Down Syndrome when they were both babies. THey were certainly unwanted by their parents. But the ugly fact is true - most unfit parents won't give up their children for adoption but let them languish in foster care, being moved hither and yon and having irreparable damage done to them. Personally, I'd like to see a law where if a parent can't get cleaned up and at least sober and on welfare within 3 yrs., they don't get their children back and they're up for adoption. It's because adoption laws are so strict in North America that people pay extraordinary amounts to do foreign adoptions. (we were told it would be at least $25,000 to adopt a child from Romania, and that was back in 1989). I suspect alot of foreign "adoptions" are nothing more than baby-buying, but that's a personal opinion.

Lastly, I'll say that I had a miscarriage during my first marriage. Since I've been saved I've read many books on heaven and children. I'm reassured I'll see that child in heaven, along with my two children who will become perfect (although I already believe they're perfect!) in their perfect bodies in heaven.

God loves children and I've personally seen a 1.5 lb baby survive in our church and grow up to be a beautiful, healthy, young woman with no problems. If God can "save" such a tiny one, then how can we do any different?

And I agree with your reader who said what you did before you were saved is like the "East from the West". You've paid your price, Kelly, and on those "anniversaries", if you think of them that way, try to think of those children in heaven with their loving Father. Forgive yourself, and continue to advocate for the women who make such choices and then live with years of regret, grief (there's a lot of grief after a miscarriage, I can tell you), and guilt.

Thank you for sharing and giving us all a chance to pray for you, and for the issues in your country.

This was sent via e-mail, and I was given permission to post it...

Hiya Kelly,

Your blog was pretty sharp today. Nicely done. Do yourself a favor and allow your heart to feel the forgiveness that is granted you. The abortions are history and you obviously learned a wicked lesson AND you utilize (the previous two words sound funny when pronounced out loud, eh?) the lesson to help others.

This election has me concerned as well. I'm pasting a letter below that I sent to one of the candidates. My concerns aren't about which of them is elected, but moreso the simple fact that the media is the sole source of information for the majority of younger people. The younger people today want change, but they don't know what they want changed.

Loved your blog.

Tom Rivera

Dear Sir;

I'm a retired Navy Chief and come from a family with nearly 100 years of military service in three very short generations. We

still serve today. Our blood lies on the streets of Fallujah (my nephew) and my son has defended that very ground a few weeks

later. (Battle of Fallujah, USMC 3/25--Brandon Stokley and Matthew Rivera were once childhood playmates.) My other

nephew served a tour in Afghanistan and Irag. Another nephew is a USMC commissioned officer and two more children will

probably join in the next year.

I'm writing because you're doing it WRONG.

I started work one week ago, after six months of unemployment here in South Carolina where the unemployment is over 8 percent. I work for a Temp agency and with people whose age range from 22-49. (I'm the 49-year-old.)

A SHORT and passionate discussion of politics arose along the production line that I supervise and I quickly discovered that the NON-military people (voting age) HAVE NO CLUE about DEFENSE and it's necessity. They simply want a change. The 22-year-old doesn't remember the first Iraq war and couldn't tell me what countries our military is deployed in. None of them realize that Clinton refused to incarcerate Bin Ladin. They're all going to vote for Obama just to find something different! They haven't READ, or LEARNED anything about the past 30 years of our history. The only thing they KNOW is that life was better when they were younger! (Their parents were pretty good in the Clinton era but they didn't teach them about INFORMED decisions.) I tried to convey that a president is NOT a LAW-MAKER and to put the blame for their misfortune where it belongs—the congress and senate. If they want things to CHANGE, they should learn the DIFFERENCE between GOOD, BAD, RIGHT, and WRONG. I told them ACTIONS (Mr. McCain)are verifiable and WORDS (Obama) are just advertisement. (I used a more colorful word than 'advertisement'.) I ASKED THEM... "How would your life be different if Clinton had incarcerated Bin Ladin?" Would there have been a 9-11? Would New York's skyline be different? Would we be at war today? Would the economy be in this condition? Would you be working for a temp-agency? Would you be able to AFFORD the gas that brought you to work this morning? I FINISHED with... "If you don't know HOW to make changes, then do me a favor and DON'T VOTE."

To summarize... Don't attack Obama's character. SHOW your HISTORY. How OLD was Obama during the first IRAQ war, Vietnam War? Show them a picture or video of a kid sitting in a classroom or playing a video game (Obama) while Mr. McCain was battling the idiots in the Senate and ACTUALLY MAKING CHANGES!

SHOW them the democratic liberals who’ve controlled the Congress and Senate for the last two years and the results they’ve achieved.
