		<description>A lot of it has to do with the writing.  If I think the book is really well-written and that there are aspects of the book that the media would be interested in...that encourages me to want to work on it.  A platform also helps.  It can only enhance the publicity efforts of the book.

What was it about those authors that led you to "take them on"?  Was it their platform?  Or maybe their marketability?  
Just curious what leads a publicist to sign on an author.  Whether it's a new author or one that's been around the block a few times.
